Terms of Service
If this English version and the Turkish version differ, the Turkish version prevails.
1. Parties and service
Avlu is a community app for training together, meeting at events, and keeping nutrition and workout logs. Avlu is operated by an individual, Ardan Hira Yılmaz (Karacaağaç Mahallesi, D-100 Karayolu (Ankara–Bolu Yolu) No: 5, Bolu Merkez / Bolu, Türkiye · avluapp@gmail.com). In these terms "we" means Avlu and "you" means an Avlu user.
By creating an account you accept these Terms of Service and the Community Guidelines. How your data is processed is explained in the Privacy Policy and the Data Disclosure Notice.
2. Minimum age
Avlu is for people aged 18 and over. By creating an account you declare that you are 18 or older. We close accounts that we learn belong to someone under 18.
3. Objectionable content and abusive behaviour — zero tolerance
Harassment, hate speech, sexual content, violence and threats, spam, fake accounts, posting other people's content as your own, content making medical claims, and content promoting extreme dietary restriction are all forbidden. We remove such content and terminate the accounts responsible. Details and examples are in the Community Guidelines. Reported content is reviewed within 24 hours.
4. Content you post
- You own the photos, videos, text and comments you post.
- You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide permission to host, store, display in the app and technically process (for example resize) your content for the purpose of running Avlu. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account; it continues only in backups and in records we are legally required to keep, until those are deleted.
- You are responsible for what you post. You must have the rights to it and must not infringe anyone else's rights. You may post photos in which other people's faces are clearly visible only with their permission.
- If we find your content breaks the rules we may remove it without notice.
5. Group chats
- Messages you write in a group chat are visible to all members of that group.
- The rules for public posts apply in chats too.
- Any message can be reported. Reported messages may be viewed by the Avlu team in order to review them.
- You can leave a group at any time and block anyone who bothers you.
6. In-person events
- Avlu is a platform, not the organiser of events. Events are created and run by users.
- Avlu verifies nobody's identity. We do not guarantee the accuracy of event listings or of what participants say about themselves.
- You attend events at your own risk. Consider your health before taking up physical activity and consult a doctor if needed.
- Whoever creates an event is responsible for stating its place, time and content accurately and for following the rules of the venue.
- Check-in QR codes exist only to confirm attendance. Checking in without attending, or sharing a code for that purpose, is forbidden.
7. Aura
Aura points have no monetary value. They cannot be exchanged for money, goods or services, cannot be transferred, and may be reset at any time.
8. Health disclaimer
The app's calculations are for information only. They are not medical or dietetic advice and do not replace diagnosis or treatment by a physician or dietitian. Consult a doctor before making significant changes to your diet or training.
9. Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app. Signing in within 30 days restores it; after that your profile, posts, messages and other data are permanently deleted. We may close accounts that break these terms.
10. Limitation of liability, amendments, assignment, governing law
Providing the service. We work to keep Avlu running carefully and continuously, but we cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features.
Liability. Users are responsible for their own posts, messages and behaviour at events. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, loss of data or profit, or damage users cause one another. This limitation does not affect cases of intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Amendments. We may change these terms. We will announce important changes inside the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Avlu after a change means you accept the new terms; if you do not, you can delete your account.
Assignment. If we later start operating Avlu through a company, we may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to that company and will tell you beforehand. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Your statutory rights as a consumer are preserved; in disputes you may apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts according to the applicable monetary limits.
App Store. Because you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not the provider of Avlu or its content and is not responsible for supporting Avlu.
11. Subscription (not yet active)
Avlu is currently free and takes no payments in the app. If paid features are offered in future, they will be offered only through the App Store, using Apple's in-app purchase system. Price, period and scope will be shown clearly before purchase. Subscriptions are billed by Apple and can be cancelled in iPhone Settings under Apple Account → Subscriptions.
